Agistri is a small paradise of the Saronic Gulf Islands, full of pine trees which give you the impression that are "touching" the blue sea. It is ideal for wonderful summer vacations and relaxing weekends. In Agistri you will find pine forests, sandy beaches, blue waters, tranquility, and nightlife for those who wish. Agistri has two natural harbors where boats can approach, the port of Skala and the port of Megalochori. The island’s Marina is located at Megalochori port where mooring places have been created for yachts or boats owners. The marina can also provide electricity, drinking water and fuel services. In Agistri you can find many hotels, rooms, studios and apartments for rent, restaurants and taverns with traditional Greek dishes. Beach bars, internet café, clubs and playgrounds for children.

GEOGRAPHY

Agistri is a tourist pine island, with an area of 11.7 square km. It belongs to Piraeus Prefecture, located in the heart of the Saronic Gulf. The island has four villages: Megalochori or Milos (island country), Scala, Limenaria and Metochi.On September 1, 2006 the new port in Milos was inaugurated. The new port was constructed for upgrading of tourism on the island.

BEACHES

Skala is a sandy beach on the northeast coast, where you can find hotels, restaurants and cafes. You can also swim to the sandy beach of Megalohori and the Dragonera which is surrounded by pine forest. Finally, the Aponisos beach is a shallow beach between the private island of Aponisos and Agistri.

ACTIVITIES

In the enchanting island of Agistri there are many bays and coves where you can indulge in water sport that interests you: Swimming, windsurfing, water skiing and fishing. The rocky bottom in many parts of the island is ideal for underwater snorkeling. Other islets lying around Agistri are also valuable points for exploration such as Metopi, Dorousa, Kyra and Aponisos. You can also enjoy a tour of the island by train or enjoy a stroll on the beach with the coaches.
